Spuds-we-like
Now I am confused. I though that like everyone else in France I had blight on my potatoes. So, on the hottest day in ages this past week, I dug up all my desiree potatoes. They are magnifique! Not mushy and blighted but big, and glorious red. How chuffed was I? Some of the new potatoes haven't looked as good when dug up, but I have a couple of sacks of potatoes to store for the winter.

The peas and mange-tout are going mental, and the sweetcorn and runner beans are looking very promising. The swiss chard that I bought by mistake is going well, but I've no idea what to do with it! The herb garden is extremely lush and everything tastes delicious. Things are looking much better in this 30 degree temperature than a couple of weeks ago.
