...little gits and could well be for the pot!
I had planted some peas in the veg plot a couple of weeks ago. It was an old packet and I wasn't expecting much. However during the last few days they had all sprouted and grown a centimetre or so.
The geese noticed as well, and this afternoon they stuck their beaks through the wire fence around the veg plot, rooted around in the soil and dug up and ate all my pea shoots!!! They all looked very pleased with themselves and all had little pile of earth on top of their beaks. Gits!

Good grief, you don't post for ages and then I have loads and loads to read, fantastic. So pleased Misty is feeling a little better, but as you say, it's going to be a long 3 weeks. If only we could tell them it's for their own good. I have posted some photos of Little Kitten. She is doing really well and is putting on a little weight now. Just need to get rid of the fleas!!! What age can I do that?
I understand goose tastes quite nice - and goose with peas is probably very tasty :)
Hi Haze, have posted a comment on your blog about fleas. Last night was the first night that Misty didn't want to be put in her house at bedtime. She went a bit mental so I sat wth her for a while stroking her through the bars until she calmed down, then we all had a good nights sleep.
Hi SITH, We nearly cooked chicken with redcurrants a couple of years ago, after spotting 3 of the old batch of chooks jumping up and pulling the currants off the bush!
Those naughty geese - I suppose it's just food to them! M :-)
