Thank you

Hi everyone. I just want to say a huge thank you for all your lovely messages and good wishes. I am feeling so much better now. I feel a bit of a fraud for being so down earlier in the week. I had been ill over the weekend and you know how that can magnify everything that happens into a major disaster. Having said that, I felt so bad when I blogged that I couldn't even bring myself to answer the phone when it rang. I did go out and do some gardening, well mowing the grass, and I have treated myself to some really pretty gladioli bulbs. Funny, I would have never bought them in the UK, but they have sych stunning varieties here that I can't resist them.

It didn't help that after I had responded to dnd's comments I couldn't connect to the internet at all, and couldn't even email anyone!! I am not very computer minded, and short of taking a hammer to the modem had no idea what to do.

I was going to write down everything that had wound me up, but when I actually looked at it all, they seemed so trivial that I sounded pathetic for moaning about it! It was just a combination of loads of small things, that became a big thing, that avalanched into a mega thing.

I just want you to know that I REALLY appreciated all your words, postive thoughts and virtual hugs, thank you Hazel for phoning and I have calmed down, feel happier and am not going to disappear with Misty into the sunset. You are all wonderful xxxxxx

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. We also have been here 3 years next month, my husband suffers from terrible depression and within a week of arriving here he wished he hadn't. For 3 years now I feel like I've been lodging in this beautiful country, which is why I make the most of every minute here. Unfortunately the countdown has started and I fear we will leave France. Chin up and enjoy what I'll be missing out on. Debs

So glad you're feeling better, but the offer is always there.

I will actually be up your way mid month too.

Hi Debs, I am so sorry that you are having a difficult time, and that may have to move. I would hate to leave France now, especially to go back to the UK. I have some clients in a similar situation to you, except that she hates being here and the husband loves it. They are leaving in a couple of months. Make the most of it all while you are here.

Hi Deborah, Thank you so much. Where abouts will you be? Breezy is back mid month as well. We are 20 mins south of Bellac in the Mont de Blond.

The internet was behaving badly - I could read posts - but I couldn't comment - so what was up with that?

See! You're not a dummy - the internet is!

Somehow knew you were thanking us all...so it is quite alright!

Hi aims, bloody internet, it is not as easy as it cracked up to be. I was trying to book a something online yesterday and the website was so cluttered, pages kept expiring - it drives me mad!

Hi Maggie, thank you .

I'll be at Mauprévoir. A day trip to see a friend but I love driving so I don't mind the distance. Bellac is around an hour south by my reckoning. It's a lovely part of the country where you are too isn't it.

So glad you're feeling a bit better! Do NOT consider yourself a fraud though!!! I'm glad you can see a bigger picture right now, but just because your perspective has changed doesn't mean that what you felt wasn't real!

Hi Deborah, I love driving over here, the roads are so much emptier than the UK. Mind the the locals round here have a nasty habit over overtaking on a blind bend, going uphill!!

Hi Almost American, thank you. My mood of last week seems like a distant memory now, funny how your mind blocks things out. You are right in what you say though, the reasons for the mood still seem valid!
