Well, what a busy week I've had. Cuddling Misty, playing with Misty, carying her around the garden, taking her to the litter tray, waking up at 5am because she is crying for a cuddle - the list goes on.

I have actually managed to do some work as well, but not in my garden which is overgrown with weeds and potato blight. The weather has been so wet that all our spuds are blighted, the tomatoes which are growing like triffids and have green fruit are not ripening because there has been no sun. The peas and mange tout are not complaining though, I am picking them all the time.

It has been so dishearting after last years flaming June and huge successes in the veg garden, to see all my hard work in vain. With the blight I have been advised not to grow spuds for a couple of years, but as I have got an acre of garden, I may put a few new potatoes somewhere else next summer. Thank goodness I have got Misty as a distraction.

It sounds like you have a 'Guard Cat' in the making! It is the perfect disguise to foil intruders - cute, fluffy cat with a natural instinct to maim and disfigure!

Is Misty still using a ladder to get in and out of the cat tray?

Oy! are you casting aspertions on the length of Misty's legs?! I'll have you know that not only does she not need a ladder, but she can do a double somersault to get into the litter tray!
